~ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ~
(Q) What do we need to bring?
(A) You need to bring toiletries, garbage bags and bath towels. Your unit will
have a garbage bag and toilet paper when you arrive as well as bedding and pillows. You will
need to buy or bring more as we do not clean the units during your stay.
For our last minute guests, "walk ins", and for weekend only stays we
have these things if you forget them, just let us know when you arrive. If you reserve in advance,
please bring them. A dish towel and dish soap are also provided to allow you to wash your dishes before you leave.
(Q) Can we bring our pet?
(A) Yes, at American Oak Resort, your pet is an extension of your family and we
welcome them with additional deposit and $70.00 per week (cabins) and $140.00 per week (chalets). Under
3 days, $40.00 (cabins), $70.00 (chalets). You are required to clean up after your pet, inside and
outside. If your dog is a digger, or not good around srtangers, it will be a problem. One pet per unit
and you must notify us of any pet when you arrive. No pet may be left
unattended in a unit unless it is in a cage. Any pet not reported
at check in will result in DOUBLING of the pet fees, and may terminate your reservation, WITHOUT
REFUND.
(Q) Can we ride to the ORV/snowmobile trails from the
unit?
(A) Yes, we can provide you with directions to the trail heads and send you on
your way with a map. ORV's must be parked in designated areas on the
property.
(Q) Do you offer tours of the trails by snowmobile or ORV?
(A) We don't offer tours, however we often have available time to lead you on a
ride to local favorite hot spots located on the trails. If you require a guide, we typically can provide
one at additional cost.
(Q) What happens if we make a reservation for a snowmobile vacation, and then
the trails aren't rideable?
(A) We will do our best to contact you before your arrival date if the weather
conditions are not favorable. There is no cancellation fee if the local trails are not rideable.
If you need to cancel your reservation, we need at least 1 week notice to receive your deposit
(minus cancellation fee) back. If weather conditions are favorable, and you do not cancel at least
1 week prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be forfeited. No show will result in the credit
card on file being charged in full.
(Q) Can we have a late check out time?
(A) If our reservations allow, late check out is always a possibility.
